At 3D Printing Room, we’re excited to spotlight Fight for America, an extraordinary mega-game art installation combining history, innovation, and creativity. This ambitious project, created by Christopher McElroen and Neal Wilkinson and developed in collaboration with renowned game designer Alessio Cavatore (Bolt Action, Warhammer 40K), showcases the limitless possibilities of art and technology.
About the Project
Fight for America is an immersive tabletop wargaming experience that brings the dramatic events of January 6th to life with striking realism. The project features:
- A 1:64 scale model of the U.S. Capitol, designed with incredible detail.
- 12,000 hand-painted 28mm miniatures, showcasing the dedication and artistry of the team.
- The Capitol building spans 3.15m x 4.2m x 1.5m, composed of approximately 900 individual parts.
The game will debut as a mega-game art installation in New York City and London in 2025. The large-scale experience allows up to 20 players per day to engage with the game, blending art, strategy, and storytelling into a live, interactive format.

Our Role in the Project
While the miniatures and artistic elements were created by the talented team behind Fight for America, our contribution was centered around the 3D printing of the entire 1:64 scale model of the U.S. Capitol. This process involved:
- Over 5,200 hours of dedicated printing time.
- Using more than 270 kilograms of PLA plastic, a sustainable and versatile material.
- Completing the production of around 900 individual parts in just one month, thanks to a streamlined workflow across 10 3D printers running efficiently around the clock.
Our expertise in 3D printing allowed us to complete the project efficiently and within a short time frame, ensuring the project stayed on schedule and met its timeline.

Experience the Game Live
The Fight for America installation offers an immersive experience, combining art, gaming, and storytelling. Players will step into a dynamic environment where history and creativity converge, creating a meaningful and unforgettable experience. This interactive experience allows participants to engage with a detailed recreation of the events of January 6th, offering strategic gameplay alongside a deeper connection to its artistic and historical elements.
