The Process

FDM, or Fused Deposition Modeling, is an additive manufacturing process that builds parts layer by layer by extruding thermoplastic material through a heated nozzle. As each layer cools and bonds to the previous one, the final part is gradually formed. Using advanced FDM 3D printing technology, we produce durable parts in materials such as PLA, PETG, TPU, ABS, ASA, PC, Nylon, and Nylon Carbon Fiber, making it a practical option for prototypes, custom parts, functional components, and scalable production for Montreal customers.

New to 3D Printing?

Are you new to 3D printing and don’t know where to start?

Whether you are a student at McGill, Concordia, Université de Montréal, a local startup, engineer, designer, or small business owner, our Montreal 3D printing service makes it easier to turn ideas into physical parts. To get started, you will need a 3D model file such as STL, OBJ, or 3MF. If you do not already have a file, we can help explain what is needed and recommend the best material, colour, and print quality for your application.

3D Model Ready

Get instant pricing with our online quoting tool by uploading your STL, OBJ, or 3MF file directly through our website. With multiple materials, colours, wall counts, infill settings, and quality options available, our FDM manufacturing service gives Montreal customers the flexibility to order parts based on their project requirements.

If you have questions, need to print multiple parts, or are looking for production quantities, please contact our sales team before ordering.

Materials

PLA

Biosustainable, smoothest surface finish, rigid, low flexibility.

PETG

Durable, impact-resistant, good flexibility.

TPU 90A

Highly flexible, wear-resistant, shock-absorbent, rubber-like.

ABS

Tough, higher temperature resistance, similar to PETG.

ASA

Highly UV resistant, durable, better weatherability than ABS.

ASA-CF

Stiff, UV-resistant, heat-resistant material for rigid outdoor functional parts.

PC

Extremely strong, heat resistant, transparent options.

Carbon Fiber Nylon PA12-CF

High stiffness, strength-to-weight ratio, wear-resistant.
